Captured Light, 24″ x 18″, oil on panel, framed by the artist
A recent addition to the Faces of the Lowcountry and The Quench Project series, Captured Light expresses the human desire to capture the light of God, which cannot be possessed, but only experienced as children of a loving God. No one has a monopoly or a deeper access to God. Our desires change but God’s love for us remains constant. This conversation about desire runs through TQP. Enlightenment is like silence, once you say the word, it disappears. The beautiful thing about God’s love, however, is that it is eternally abundant.
