Beach Scene came from one of my private lessons. We feel the sea air and sense the coming of summer, in a serene, dreamlike world –  a day at the beach. A looser, more expressive style than normal, we feel the scene with bravado paint, suggesting the vastness of the ocean under a sky adorned with soft, wispy clouds. The balance between the rhythmic chaos of the water and the calm of the sky against the warm tones of the beach and sea grass, creates both a sense of adventure and a feeling of peace.
