Freedom  20 x16″ oil on panel, framed by the artist

I like the sense of determination this baby Sea Turtle has, heading to freedom, after being released from rehabilitation at the Charleston Aquarium. I tried to create a sense of solitude, of being under water.   It appears photo-realistic, but as always with my work, when you get closer, you can see the crazy brushwork, palette knife and broken color.
