There are a lot of painting systems out there with pretty colors on their palettes, but the PPP system, using the Power Palette, is exactly what’s needed to master the subtle values of a portrait.  The Power Palette is based on the original Frank Reilly Palette, who trained many of the greatest realists of the 20th Century. The Power Palette has been adapted to suit our modern sensibilities and our desire to push color as far as it can go.

The template is 11″ x 17″ and fits right under a glass palette so you can match your colors exactly.  Having the Power Palette on hand in your next portrait will give you the exact color you need, when you need it.   Just mixing the Power Palette will teach you a whole lot about paint chemistry, color management and encourage you to build an impasto and not be so skimpy with paint.  It is the key to training the eye to see in value, which is going to be your secret to success in realistic painting.
