$10,200, charcoal on paper, 10″ x 8″
I love charcoal drawing. As I’ve said many times, I enjoy the challenge of digging deep into the psyche of my subjects. This is a drawing of the “hardware” that was recently removed from my lower back, after my original surgery last year. Talk about digging deep for inspiration. The total amount of these materials is $10,200, just to give you an idea of the absurdity that are the cost of medicine in this country. This is but a tiny portion of a procedure itself. And we wonder why medical costs and insurance is so expensive. Yes, we live in a capitalist society. Medical suppliers charge this because they can. Insurance companies pay this because they will. This is supply and demand gone mad. Medical costs are an invention, based on an agreement, created for the benefit of the few at the expense of the many.
Giving the gift of art has never been easier. Robert can create drawings and paintings from your photos.
