Mary is a character from “Anne with an E,” a delightful series bases on “Anne of Green Gables.” I can’t remember the character or the actress’s actual name. I wanted to capture her contemplative, compassionate gaze, from the TV screen. I’d like to do more period work using the TV as reference.
