I tried to capture the crisp, end of summer stillness of September in this admittedly over-painted subject. Lighthouses captivate us in strange ways. Is it their dependable loneliness, standing no matter what?  The Morris Island Lighthouse has undergone restoration and is an icon of the Charleston landscape.
