St Michaels Church at dusk from Meeting street in Charleston is a more finished version of the scene than the one I created a couple years ago. I went for a more realistic, detailed look, but still quite painterly. I enjoy painting nocturns. I plan to do many more.

This is quintessential Charleston. I'd like to paint more nocturnes. I enjoy combing the lights of nature with those made by man. How the complicated variety of objects connect and blend into one another fascinates me.
