Broad River comes after a family trip to Lake Lure. We went horseback riding, zip lining and spent an inordinate amount of time soaking and frolicking in Broad River, as it wound its way around and found its way into our hearts. Here, I tried to capture the warm sunlight and the cool skylight bouncing off the rocks. I placed three sunbathers in the distance, in the focal point of the painting.
