Looking Down King Street, 24″ x 18″ oil on panel
Looking Down King Street is a continuation of my Iconic Charleston Series. The painting was begun au plain air and finished in my studio. It is the point of view of someone looking down King street. We are on Upper King, in fron of Uncork Charleston, to be exact. I added a rainbow because I have experienced so many on King Street. This rainbow I observed with my son the other day while driving. I almost got in an accident trying to capture the image for this painting. It is faint; I’m trying to be subtle, which is not usually my thing.
