An au plein air painting I made during our mountain vacation in Otto, NC. We had a lovely time, Mary, Cate and I. We were joined by my sister Betsy, brother Jimmy and his fiancé, CJ. This was our view from our porch. We rented a beautiful two level home and I managed to steak away to paint this on the second afternoon we were there. For me, when painting outdoors, the challenge is deciding what to paint. Then deciding what to include, move or leave out, from my line of sight.  This little painting would be a lovely touch of nature, where you can almost hear the babbling brook.
