Nathalee 14 x 18″ oil on canvas panel
Nathalee was created in a live session with my new favorite painting groupies. We used natural light which poured in from the sunroom into Wes Israel’s studio. I like that she is looking away so the viewer can imprint their own image onto her face, more vivid than any painting. This painting turns out to be more about the feeling of her hair.
Lulu 7.5 x 19" oil on panel, framed by the artist - Lulu came about from backstage pics the cast were taking of each other during the run of Cabaret at Footlight Players this past summer - used with permission. Olivia played Lulu and was one of the very talented Kit Kat Club dancers. Here, she is practicing her wiles with a sexy, seductive, come-hither glance. She is also a very talented actress and a dear friend. We were in a production of The Diary of Anne Frank a few years back; she was brilliant as Anne Frank.
