Woodland Temptation

Woodland Temptation 14 x 14″ oil on linen, floater framed by the artist

Woodland Temptation originated as a plein air demo for a workshop at the now closed Woodlands Restaurant and Inn, in Summerville, SC. It sat in my studio for years. I recently hauled it out of storage and saw an opportunity. I brought it to Peggy’s figure drawing group and added Mary, as Eve, to the mix, holding an Apple up to a snake while a nude man cowers behind a huge oak tree. Without Adam to complete the trio, there would be no original sin.
