Whatever redeeming qualities Republicans of the past had, such as conservative values, fiscal restraint, etc., have been reset by the new Republicanism, otherwise known as Trumpism. The current MAGA/GOP will have to be completely remade after this dalliance with insanity as policy is over. Nothing about this fascist regime will be of any use once he is gone. Hopefully the Republican Party will return to its once truly conservative values, fiscal responsibility, a needed buffer for a Democratic Party, which though ambitious, occasionally could move too quickly for the common man.0
Those days seem quaint now, with corporate dems the last 40 years being milk toast apologists, afraid to ruffle those mean ole Republicans, who have simply never governed well. The GOP is best suited to be the opposition party, pushing back as the true progressive Dems work to retool America for the working class. This is how it should have always been.

We need to finally pick up where JFK left off. It’s as if a few devastating assassinations altered the timeline that kept the racism and xenophobia at bay that allowed Reaganism to rise, which led to the wealth inequality and hate-filled ideology we are seeing now. We’re on the very brink of losing democracy altogether.

I see a great reset coming that will restore the timeline. The new social democrats, whose predecessors brought us the New Deal, Social security and civil rights, are best suited to lead us into a bright new future. We must not allow Trump’s henchmen to steal the midterms. We must win honestly, cleanly and decisively.
