I’ve always enjoyed those swimming pool paintings, with those crazy optical distortions, the water does to the figure. This was a paint-along with at student who is also fascinated on how to paint reflections and refractions. Actually, there are numerous optical effects in this painting. This is also a continuation of my celebration of fatherhood, a theme I’ve explored numerous times in my art and writings.
