See the light is a continuation of my love affair with light, in all its meanings, part of The Quench Project. Is the light in his eye placed there by God or is it merely a reflection of the light around him? What is this beautiful soul looking at? What is the spark in man that we can see with our eyes and feel in our heart? My subject, Irvin is a member of the Charleston Artist Guild, and was very gracious about letting me paint him.
