Turtle Destiny 11 x 14″ oil on canvas panel, framed by the artist
Turtle Destiny is all about single minded determination. The Sea Turtle returning to the sea is as old as time. The mad struggle from hatching on land to finding and moving to the sea inspires us to stay on task, to pursue our goal with a single mindedness. Nothing will get in the way of his goal. People in SC wait every night for a chance to see them emerge from their sandy nest. We are instructed to not use light near the ancestral breeding grounds and to keep all obstructions, like holes or beach toys out of their direct path to the sea.
