Ready to Sail

Ready to Sail 12 x 16 oil on panel

A sailboat is ready to sail on a beautiful marsh on James Island, SC. It is the golden hour. A warm glow cuts through the trees, illuminating the scene. This little piece of tranquility brings the marshes and meandering creeks of Charleston right into your home or office. Be transported to a calmer reality.

Description

Continued . . . This painting is the view from my ex mother-in-law’s former home. When the kids were very young, we I used to fish off the dock and watch the dolphins coming in at dusk and go out at dawn. We have many memories on that dock. One time we hooked a hammerhead shark. Another, we hauled in a stingray. Her boyfriend maintained a couple crab traps and we would often dine on blue crabs. As often happens, this painting started out as a demo for a workshop and when I got it back in the studio, I finished it out. Imagine this beautiful painting on your wall. . .           More like this  . . .
